My life stopped in a moment, I fainted and fractured my spine in three places. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital. I met Dr. Orin Atlas in an emergency situation where I had to make choices. Choices that would effect my future mobility. I have had two previous spinal fusions as a child so it caused more risk and surgical skill than most cases. Needless to say I was frightened. With great kindness, Dr Atlas spent time with me and explained my options in details. At 61 years old, I chose surgery.
Dr. Atlas spoke with me prior to surgery and reassured me before they administered medication and wheeled me into the operating room. After surgery, he called my husband to tell him the surgery was a “success”. Both pre and post surgery Dr. Atlas was available for questions or concerns. His bedside manner is kind and understanding. I am now six weeks post surgery and recently had my latest follow up appointment. The appointment was NOT rushed and the staff at his office has been amazing. I still have a long road of PT ahead of me but I can walk. I highly recommend Dr. Atlas.

I’ve been dealing with severe chronic neck pain for decades from an accident while serving in the U.S.Marine Corps. I had no idea how bad it was. Once reviewing the MRI with Dr. Atlas he informed me of the severity of my injury. He told me that he has a patient in a wheelchair, and my MRI was worst than his. It’s only by the Grace of God I wasn’t paralyzed from the next down. I had been walking around with severe chronic pain all these years and one false move I would be in a wheelchair the rest of my life.
Thanks be to God, and Dr. Atlas my surgery was a complete success! Instantaneously no more pain! I can not thank Dr. Atlas and his wonderful staff enough. I now can enjoy life pain free! May God continue to Bless Dr. Atlas and his incredible staff.

I came to Dr. Atlas with a history of back issues, and for years I suffered from chronic sciatic pain. What stood out to me the most was the professionalism exhibited by Dr. Atlas. He is respectful and treats his clients with the utmost care. I felt like a person instead of a number. I understood from the start that he wanted the best for me. He explained thoroughly what was causing my pain and where it was coming from. He explained with great detail and clarity his intended course of action. He is very confident in his craft, and I had no problem putting my trust in his hand. He is genuine with his care and concern from start to finish. I have told others about the care I received and highly recommended him to others! Because of his skill as a surgeon, I am pain-free, and getting stronger each day. He is the best!

After being rear-ended in a car accident, I suffered from headaches and neck pain every day. I would force myself to go to work, come home and just lay on the couch in pain. Physical therapy and injections were unsuccessful. I was referred to Dr. Atlas by my brother-in-law, who had done anesthesia in the OR with him, so he had actually seen Dr. Atlas' work. When I went to see Dr. Atlas, he suggested surgery. I say "suggested" because he offered other options but let the final decision for surgery be mine. I chose surgery and so glad I did. Neck pain and headaches went away, that was 5 years ago. Since my surgery, I've referred several people to Dr. Atlas. He didn't suggest surgery for all of them. He's not "knife happy." He offers what's best for the patient, which is not the norm for surgeons. There's no doctor better for the treatment of spine and back problems. An additional note-his office manager, Shannon and staff are great, too!
